YOUTH BASKETBALL

Basketball will be offered for boys and girls that are currently in grades 1-6.

New this year, Grades 3-6 teams will be grade specific.

Divisions will be as follows:

1st-2nd Grade (no Kindergarten) - 8.5' rims, size 27.5" ball

• 1st-2nd Grade is an introductory program that only plays other CWJRD teams. We need to have at least 4 girls per team to separate boys and girls.

• 3rd Grade - 9' rims, 28.5" ball

• 4th Grade - 9' rims, 28.5" ball

• 5th Grade - 10' rims, 28.5" ball

• 6th Grade - 10' rims, 28.5" ball

 

*It is recommended that each player has their own ball to bring to practices. Coaches will have limited supply of basketballs to use at practices.

 

Practices will begin in November, Games will begin in December this year. The season will end by early March.

 

Games:

Grades 3-6 are joining the FUEL League this year! This will include teams from Berne Union, Bloom Carroll, Fairfield Christian, Fairfield Union, Liberty Union, Millersport and other surrounding areas. Practices will start in November (day/times based on court availability and coaches' preference) and games will start in December. Teams can expect approximately 8-10 games + end of season tournament. Players will receive a reversible jersey with registration. Games will be held on the weekend, but no schedule can be set until after teams are finalized.

 

Fee: $100 **Because the FUEL league requires a small entry fee at games, we are lowering your registration by $25 for Grades 3-6. These entry fees go towards offsetting officials costs.​​
